Peter DeCaprio joined FlowPoint in 2020. Previously he was the President and CEO of Crow Point Partners, a firm he co-founded in 2006. At Crow Point, he served as the firm’s Head of Trading and Risk Management and was the lead portfolio manager on the EAS Crow Point Alternatives fund during the period that fund was five-star ranked by Morningstar. Previously, Peter worked at Evergreen Investments as a senior analyst covering the utility, telecommunications, and media sectors. Prior to Evergreen, Peter was a senior equity analyst at Thomas Weisel Partners. He is a graduate of Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, where he received his MBA, and Tufts University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Mike McAdams

Mike McAdams is a principal and responsible for business development at FlowPoint. Previously, Mike worked at Pilgrim America Funds, ING Group and Macquarie Investment Management after selling the $5Billion asset management firm, Four Corners Asset Management, where he was CEO and founder. Subsequently, he has been a consultant to over a dozen specialty and broad-spectrum line asset management and select technology firms as well as chief investment strategist at two de-novo RIAs. He is a graduate of UCLA’s Anderson School of Business, where he received his MBA, and California State University, Fullerton where he received dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Business Finance and Eastern European Studies (with a minor in Economics).

Charles Trafton

Chuck Trafton is responsible for implementing the core FlowPoint investment strategies.  Leveraging two decades of fundamental equity research experience in the education, financial, technology and health care sectors, he is lead portfolio manager for the FlowPoint Capital Partners LP and K-20 Education Partners LP. From 1994-2006 Chuck was an award-winning equity research analyst, including being voted an Institutional Investor magazine “All-America Health Care Research Analyst” in 1997 at Canaccord Genuity (formerly Adams, Harkness & Hill) and a Greenwich Associates “4-Star” Analyst in 1996 at Cowen & Co. He graduated cum laude with a degree in Finance from Boston College and lives in North Andover, MA with his wife and three children.  Chuck also co-founded the edly ISA marketplace and serves as its President.

Gary Dvorchak

Gary Dvorchak entered the institutional investment management profession in 1991.  Prior to associating with FlowPoint, Gary was the founder and portfolio manager at Channel Island Partners, a large-cap growth investment partnership. He was previously a portfolio manager at EGM Capital and Provident Investment Counsel where he specialized in large cap growth and equity income strategies. He has an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University and a BS in Computer Science from the University of Iowa. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Prior to founding Trend Macrolytics, Don was vice chairman and co-chief investment officer of Barclays Global Investors. At Barclays, Don invented and patented target-date mutual funds, and pioneered sector ETF’s, creating the fund family now known as i-Shares. Don has been an economic advisor to two presidential candidates including the late John McCain, and has briefed the President in the White House. He contributes frequently to the op-ed page of the Wall Street Journal and appears regularly on Fox Business. He is the author of I am John Galt and Index Options and Futures: The Complete Guide. His articles and commentaries have been published in the Washington Post, Investors Business Daily, Reason, the Harvard Business Review, Pensions & Investments, the San Jose Mercury News and the Detroit News. He was formerly a columnist for TheStreet.com and Business 2.0 (now Fast Company), and SmartMoney.com.
